How do you keep up with all that's going on in RE and the ActiveRain Community? One way is to just login each day and read the posts on the feature board, or check out the blogs of members you subscribe to, maybe pop into the groups you've joined for interesting topics, or just use the AR Blogroll to seek out today's newest posts. This is typical of how most members are trying to keep up with all the content that's available each day in the rain. Talk about having your finger on the pulse of the Industry, it's about 2000 BPM. lol~
Another way is to just read the "Daily Activerain NewsPaper!" Activerain has a newspaper? Well, kinda...
Everyday our staff and team are not only looking for featured posts, we are also looking for articles to include in the AR Newsletter that goes out to our members every evening. The AR Newsletter is another great resource for getting member information and ActiveRain Blogs out to our members. I use the newsletter to forward to friends and others who are interested in AR or what it's all about. There are posts, videos, featured members and more. It's convenient, easy, and FREE. It's like a trickle of rain delivered to you daily.

The newsletter makes it easy for those on the go who may not have the time to check in each day to see what's going on around the world and in the Real Estate Community. If you're not getting the newsletter, and would like to be added to the list, you can subscribe on my sidebar over on the right. It's not about adding another task or email to your day, it's about keeping you up to speed with just a portion of the wide variety of content and information that might be useful to you. The Newsletter is just one more way to help members reduce the fatigue that comes from trying to keep up with it all.
NOTE: If you subscribe and are NOT receiving the Daily Newsletter, it may be going to your spam folder. Be sure to accept email coming from AR and add it to your approved senders list.

Brad - I have always enjoyed the newsletter, especially as a reminder of or link to posts I have missed. Interesting - I was getting it regularly then all of a sudden it stopped. No, not in my spam folder - I check that multiple times a day. What changed? I get so many emails I'm ebrassed to say I forgot about it. :)
Jeff
great advice, Thank you
great advice, Thank you
Brad,
I'm not getting the newsletter either... :-( I used to and as Jeff said, it's a quick and easy way to "catch up" on a busy day...and we've been busy here in So. Flo.!!! :-) no complaining here!
Karen
Hi Brad. Adding a picture of Renee certainly brightens up your post!
:)
Thanks for writing,
Ken
BRAD..I also enjoy the news letter..there is alwa
ys something valuable...Thank you
HelpfulHannah your friend in Philadelphia
Jeff and Karen - I would just fill out the "subscribe to AR newsletter" on my sidebar, and use your current email address. I'm wondering if something may have happened in the program we use to create and send these out. Let me know if that works. :-)
It always reminded me of posts I saw earlier and forgot to read. It really brings you back.
Hi Brad, The newsletter is cool and I understand better how the posts were selected . They are interesting ( not nessessarily featureded) and the 1st post is usually the featured post of the newsletter and sets the tone for the title and the others round out a balance of what's written that week.
It is all really good stuff. I always look at it and use the links to get to some of the best reading.
Brad,
I'm wondering if you don't have a glitch as well as I used to receive it. Perhaps that's why you wrote the blog? To see if we were receiving it? :-)
Filled out the form, I'll let you know if I don't receive it. K
I will have to forward this on, I had not done that previously, great idea that I had not thought of. Too busy learning everything I can about blogging, SEO, etc. : ) Tunnel Vision....
Brad, thanks for showcasing the newsletter, which I will now sign up for... on the days that I have not let my AR addiction free rein (as in, there is a lot of business to get done and I can't browse the blogs etc.), it will be great to have a digest of useful news. You have a very high proporetion of helpful blogs, too!
I used to get it too... and then it stopped. It isn't in my spam folder or anything. I'll sign up again...
A lot of people that no longer receive the newsletter is due to the fact that you changed your original email address on the network. But, it has not been updated in the system. If that is the case, I would definitely use the subscribe on the right of his blog and sign up again with your new email address.
Brad,
I have installed television screens in my study, bathroom, and outside kitchen by the pool. They all have a live feed to my my internal super active rain mainframe. 773 times a day I log on to read, comment and blog.
I don't have an outside kitchen.
the newsletter is awesome.
I love the A/R Newsletter. There are many days I am swamped and dont have time to surf all of the rain. The Newsletter helps me pick out the best of the best.
Brad/Jeremy,
Just an FYI, I have not changed my email address....I don't think Jeff has either...just from my records of his contact info.
Hi Brad,
Thanks for the comments. What is the most effective means of scoring the highest points on Active Rain? Please let me know all
the ways you can score points.
Thanks,

I was receiving the newsletter but haven't for awhile. I don't think I've changed my email but maybe I need to subscribe again.
Wow, thanks for the link love Brad! :) I love the newsletter, I know if I miss the featureds, they come to my inbox. I love to save them in a folder in my emal so I can refer back to them easily.
It's becoming more and more difficult for me to check in daily during the heavy buyer's season thanks mostly to Active Rain
Hi Brad, I enjoy getting the Active Rain Newsletter because it pulls out some really good blogs for the week some I have read and some I have never seen.
For the longest time I wasn't getting the newsletter, then it showed up for a couple of weeks, but now it's gone again. I haven't changed my email address, so any ideas on where my newsletter is going?
I'll be honest, I get the newsletter every day into my email but I never read it because it does not translate well into my outlook inbox. Not sure if there is any changes you can make to make it more reader friendly in that format?
I'd love to read my subscriber list, but the sort is STILL not working...when I hit "more posts" it defaults to the main dashboard instead of only the people I'm subscribed to. Any chance that this will be fixed soon?
I use the newsletter to view posts I've missed. thanks,
Brad,
The newsletter is great! It "reaches out" to AR members reminding us to touch base. It helps to keep me on track and allows me a quick glance at the featured posts if time is limited. I can click through the newsletter to catch up. The spotlight is a quick easy way to meet new AR members. Thanks for all you do!
Brad,Not sure if we every really keep up or catch up. Reading, commenting, listing, selling, seminars, posting etc is the way to stay "wet" in the Rain. I like the idea of the Newsletter.
Hi Brad,
Being able to keep up has been difficult lately, with business picking up it will only get harder! I also like the news letter Idea!! Thanks for making life easier.
I enjoy the newsletter and find quite a few interesting posts I might otherwise have missed.
Hi Brad: I enjoy getting the newsletter and enjoy reading the featured posts, thanks for all of your contributions and hard work.
Brad: This is just one of the great things about Active Rain. I have my broker signed up too.. She don't sign in to blog, but loves the daily e-mail she recieves
Hi Brad!

The Rain is my evening's entertainment...and much better than anything on the tube! The newsletter is my afternoon hit.
I LOVE the newsletter! Keep up the great work, Brad.
It's like a trickle of rain delivered to you daily.
Trickle? Seems more like a FLOOD, to me, but keep up the great work anyway! :)
Brad, the newsletter is great - and thanks for the duh! suggestion to send it to people to introduce them to what AR is all about. But I guess that's one of the reasons why you're on staff and I'm not! lol
Hi Brad, Good post. Thanks for sharing.
Best - Sash
I enjoy receiving the email update of the AR 'newspaper' in my inbox, it reminds me that I need to write a blog and check up on my friends.
Is it safe to assume that the "Spotlight" member is someone who is paying for a service? I rarely look at the Featured Posts... I read my subscriptions, I read a few new posts that are rolling in when I log on, and I have to read a few from my group... I rely need help with my group >.<
But I really think we need to focus on supporting each other on the Localism posts like listings, not because we're that interested, but because it supports the person who posted it and makes them look better in the eyes of their seller.
Your selection of featured posts does look good though. So I'll be checking those out today. =)
Brad,
I learned about the newsletter a couple days ago when Craig Rutman and Lyn Sims took the time to congratulate me on being featured in it. I was clueless (as usual!) and they both then kindly explained what it was.
Good of you to post this because using Search, I couldn't figure out how to subscribe!
Brad, I thoroughly enjoy the news letter! It's a great way to find good posts that I may have otherwise missed and adds to the number of bloggers that I follow on a regular basis! I see that Renee was the featured member in this newsletter and she is a lot of fun both here at AR and on Facebook!
Hi Brad! I love seeing the newsletter in my email. I can catch up on what my friends are saying and learn more that I ever dreamed of for my business.
Brad, great advice and I like the newsletter.....Thanks for all your hard work to keep us informed.
Bettina
This is new to me. Thanks!
Thanks Brad......more good informatin. I like what Lisa said about supporting others on localism. I will do more of that. Every day I learn more and more and I'm so glad on got on the rain train.
I use the newsletter constantly to find information. I also search through my groups to find information from blogs that arent featured.
Brad, it is a great source, thanks for providing it. I was wondering if people that get featured there get points - think that would be nice... just an idea...
I do enjoy getting the newsletter and look forward to reading it. Keep it going!

For those of you who commented that you were getting the newsletter and are no longer receiving it, I have given Bob your email addresses from your AR profiles so we can check out the application we're using, make sure there's no glitch, and get this corrected for you.
Also, thanks to the many of you who have used the "subscribe to newsletter" on my sidebar, it takes up a lot of space over there, but if members are using it, I will definitely keep it there. Thanks. :-)
We like Panama for a number of reasons, including: the tropical weather, the low cost of living, the reliability and efficiency you don't find in other Latin American countries, the favorable offshore banking laws, the stable economy (with the U.S. dollar as the currency), the government investment incentives that slash tax rates and fees for entrepreneurs…and give retirees discounts on everything from doctor visits to utility bills, he diverse geography (from mountain ranges to tropical islands…from a booming metropolis to vast jungles), and the fact that it is still a relatively undiscovered paradise. Tribaldos Real Estate Corp - Please stop spamming our members and network. I have contacted Nicole Tribaldos in an effort to track you down and see that you cease and desist. On the other hand, if you'd like to understand our community guidelines and the terms of service here, and how our network works, I'd be happy to go over it with you. Thanks. :-)
Thanks. I appreciate the AR Newsletter. It allows me to catch up on what's going on and check out featured blogs that I haven't seen.
Brad,
There is so much going on here at AR that you need to prioritize heavily to keep up with your favorite stuff. Congrats Renee for your spotlight assignment. She's a force here in Las Vegas.
LOL @Brad laying the community guideline smackdown!
A was also getting the newsletter and then it stopped. I went to the side and resubscribed. I didn't know you could do that.
I am new and found your great for newbies!
Brad, the newsletter does come to my spam/junk mail but I really enjoy it, especially on days when I am so busy I don't have time to go to AR directly. Great idea!
Brad - Is there a webpage that has all of the archived newsletters? I would prefer reading the newsletters while at your site rather than receiving more e-mails.
Brad,
Subscribed last night, didn't receive the newsletter. Not sure what is going on...
Marc - we are building a "Newsletter Archive" now, it won't be ready for a little bit, but when it is, you'll be able to access all the newsletters there. I'll put a link in this post when it's ready to go. Give me a couple days, I'll be at REBarCamp in Denver but will make this a priority when I get back. Thanks. :-)
Brad, the newsletter is an easy way for me to catch up on some reading for tips and advice for myself and my clients, even though sometimes I do have to peruse the groups I've joined to get some additional info.( not to mention my daily points fix lol)
I have been getting them for awhile though I did not log in as much. I read it and still do when I have time. Some of the posts caught my attention so ended up clicking the hyperlinks. So far it's been very helpful and at times insightful.
We try to feature posts in the newsletter that aren't featured on the main AR board, but it usually ends up being a combination of both.
@ Lisa Hill - the Spotlight member is chosen at random, this featured member has nothing to do with paid services or subscriptions. If I'm not mistaken, We even featured you once so I assumed you would know that. The only paid sponsorships are the text ads and the ads on the right hand side (not shown in this sample post)
Karen - let me know if you get it tonight... wait, that sounds bad. Starting over, let me know if you receive the newsletter, Bob checked and you are on the list for distribution, just want to be sure you receive it ok? Thanks. :-)
I enjoy the newsletter. FOr quite some time I did not receive the newsletter. I think maybe around my 40,000 point or so I started getting it (not sure if that number is right but it was a long time after I joined AR). I dont always have time to read the featured posts but the newsletter is quick and sent to me daily.
I have always wondered how a member is featured though. Perhaps you will do a post on that one day.
I don't always seem to get the newsletter - but when I do I love reading it because there are too many great articles that I seem to miss - it just isn't possible to be everywhere in the Rain...

Brad I think the newsletter is awesome and certainly was a great idea. Some days it gets caught in the spam filter and other days it doesn't - pain in the neck!
I enjoy receiving the newsletter everday. It does save me alot of time from having to see what's the latest in the Rain.
What I noticed though that hasnt been consistent is the timing. But I'm not sure if it is my receiving end.
Brad - I'll try the newsletter for the days I don't get here. I use the Subscribe feature to scan blog posts but today that only works for the first page, when I go to the next page (previous page) it won't keep the Subscribed selection. A temporary glitch I hope?
Brad,
I find that I spend plenty of time in the rain between finding blog posts to comment on and writing my own. Fun but takes time.
Sharon - I'm looking into that to see if it's a glitch or not, thanks for bringing it to my attention. :-) Hope you're well.
I am absolutely humbled! How much do I owe you for the biggest picture in your post? You knew about all the escrows I have from AR and expect a referral fee, eh?
Just kidding but I do thank you for making me a part of the "member spotlight".
Renee - you don't owe me anything... well, maybe a cold Ice Tea when I make it to Vegas in the summer! :-)
Congrats on the member spotlight, it was well deserved.
You will be here this summer? Are you teasing me? You are one of the few rain gods I have never met. I do make a mean glass of 'Assed Tay' (talking in my southern voice)
I had the glass of wine, can you tell?
Renee - We'll be playing at Harrahs. I think we'll be there for my birthday in August. We will definitely get to meet up somehow. I'll find out the dates and let ya know, you can come hear some good ol' southyrn rock music and that southyrn assed tay will be on me. :-)
Brad, I see that Sharon (comment #70) is having the same issue that I am. Any possibility of a fix?
Lisa - in #72 I responded to Sharon and still haven't heard if or when that will be fixed. I know the tech team is aware of it, we'll have to wait and see if they cam get to it. Thanks for the reminder... :-)
Brad .. same comment as Jeff above ... I have always enjoyed the newsletter, especially as a reminder of or link to posts I have missed. Interesting - I was getting it regularly then all of a sudden it stopped. No, not in my spam folder - I check that multiple times a day. What changed?
