RainCamp Las Vegas - A Gamble Worth Taking

RainCamp Las Vegas - The Highest "Payout" Odds in Nevada!

RainCamp™ Las Vegas is confirmed for April 1st, 2010.  This is NOT an April Fool, but it is a great opportunity to get away for the weekend, enjoy mixing some business with pleasure, and be one of our guests in the Ballroom Theater at UNLV.  What happens in Vegas, won't stay in Vegas this time, you'll be able to bring home what you learn, along with everything else that happens, and begin applying it immediately to your Social Media and Marketing Business Plan.

Lot's of our friends and members are coming this year to "soak" up the "rain" and they're coming from all over.  Why?  Because it's Vegas baby, and who'd want to miss out on that?  Register for a seat, book your flight, get a room, bring your suitcase and Vegas dining attire, throw in your laptop, cellphone, some aspirin, and a couple extra bucks for site seeing and for some extra curricular activities, and COME ON DOWN!!!

We're going to make an entire weekend of fun out of it, throw in a RainCamp™, have an awesome AR Gathering after, and we want you ALL to come be part of it.  We'd love to see all 175,000 members show up at this one. There's no good excuses, you deserve it, so come help us make this the Best ActiveRain Gathering of all time.  It will be more fun than one person should be allowed to have, I promise!  :-)

I'm betting $20.00 that this one sells out in less than 3 days!  Oh Wait, that's gambling...  I don't gamble?!?  haha~

Should be a great event even if you don't gamble. Won't work for my schedule, unfortunately.

What is the difference between the ticket types?  Tempting.

I just found these 10 Tips For Las Vegas:

  1. Get a player's card. Go to the Player's Club desk at any casino you visit and sign up for a free player's card, even if you don't plan to gamble there. Then the casino will mail you offers for discounted or even free rooms on your next visit.
  2. Don't lose your shirt. Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. Set a budget for each playing session and if you lose it, stop playing.
  3. Don't play slot machines. They suck your money away hand over fist. See our crash course on table games to have a much better chance of winning.
  4. Tip the dealers $5/hr. and the cocktail waitresses $1 every drink or two.
  5. Ask for comps. When you play either slots or table games the casino will reward you with buffets, show tickets, or room discounts. Ask at the player's club booth (slot players) or at the tables (table players) for how to claim your goodies. (more on comps)
  6. Use the buses. The #108 goes from the airport to the Stratosphere and then to downtown, for only $1.25 -- or pay $2.50 for a Day Pass and then ride the Deuce for only 50¢. The Deuce runs the whole strip and to & from downtown for only $2.00, or $5.00 for 24-hour all-you-can-ride pass, or only 50¢ if you got a day pass from the #108 bus.
  7. Don't try to get taxis on the strip. Taxis can't stop directly on the strip; that's why they're passing you by. Go to the taxi area of the hotel to get one. Up to 4 people ride for the same price as 1; if there's just 2 of you, don't be afraid to yell out, "Anyone want to split a cab to [some casino]?" It doesn't just save money, it's eco-friendly.
  8. Walk. The whole strip is four miles long and you could walk the whole thing in an hour and a half. When there's traffic it's the fastest way to get around.
  9. Get Half-Price Show Tickets. You can get half-price tickets for most Vegas shows at one of the three booths on the Strip (just S. of the Riviera, outside the Fashion Show Mall across from the Wynn, and in the Hawaiian Marketplace across from the Monte Carlo), or downtown (outside the Four Queens).
  10. Bank your winnings. Set aside half your win when you win big, and never gamble it, so you have a guaranteed win.

  • Reserved Premium seating near the front of the room with table, wi-fi, and power
  • Access to VIP registration line

The Platinum Access Pass Includes:

  • Reserved Platinum seating in the front of the room with table, wi-fi, and power

Okay, while this is still a couple thousand miles from home, it might be the cheapest flight to a US event that I can get.  I am going to do my best to clear my schedule and make it to this one.  Plus some of my favorite members are in Vegas!

DARN IT! Come back to the Orlando area! If you don't, I'm going to pout and complain for however long it takes! >=I  As for gambling, I'd rather buy something I know I'm not going to lose =o/  I guess I'm just not the gambling type. I work too hard for my money. I'd be very upset if I lost ANY of it.... but I don't mind dropping it on items needed in an MMORPG... >.<

I don't know, having a Rain event in Las Vegas with all that the strip has to offer ... Should be a blast like all the others. I however stress over losing $20 so I'd be in Camp all day ;)

RainCamp Dallas was a huge success. The only caveat to that is that the wireless in the room was not working, so to protect yourself bring your own wireless hook up. That being said, the day was absolutely jam packed with actionable tips and techniques to follow. This is a must go on your weekly planner.

Okay, I have been flight shopping already, going to try to make it to this one if I can get it to fit in.  Oddly enough it is cheaper for me to go for 7 days then for me to go for 3 or 5?  pretty weird.

Blog-N-Roll Brad...

I am so so jealous. This is one of the RainCamps I'd love to attend. Renee promised if I could ever make it there her and I would go pole dancing. I can't pole dance right now but I could watch :)

Yah. I said that out loud. And you know what's sad about that? I don't care :)

Hi Brad - When you say "this one will sell out", how many people would that be? Some of our local vendors may want to be involved if I can give them a little more info.

RainCamp in Vegas?  Sounds like a lot of fun.  I just attended the NY one....just waiting on the next one!

Posted by Brian Burke, Your Realtor & Foreclosure Expert (Coldwell Banker) almost 10 years ago

Paul - Lauren is looking into that for ya'll, once we get some Hotels with their discounted rates, I'll come let you know...

John - have any of the local vendors contact me via email and I'll forward them to the person they need to be in contact with, thanks.

I think the MAX we can have in Vegas is 500, but I'll have to confirm that...

Brad,

Excellent to see RainCamp come to Vegas. Strip properties sure would like to see all AR members descend on the scene and give our economy a nice shot of energy.

Brad,

This is the best bet in Vegas.  Player odds are the best of any game when you bet on Rain Camp.
