Brad,
Thanks for posting that video.
Geee, I think there were 13,000 members when I joined AR, and I felt like I had missed the bus!
I wasn't around in the early days so that was a lot of fun to watch.
Hi Brad... WOW! I never saw this one as it pre-dates my involvement with AR, yet it all still rings true... except the number of members!
Brad, Being a newbie, it is great to see the first steps! Thank you all at AR for creating this great format. Thanks for sharing the video, Brad.
Niiicce! I never saw that one before! Yep! It still is relevant! Even today! Thanks Brad!
Same foundation and vision, but boy has that membership grown!
Brad, I LOVED watching that! When I signed on there were a little over 6,000 members and I thought it was huge then.....I would have never, EVER imagined all the benefits from AR both personally and professionally or the way this incredible place has grown!
Wow...cool to see a little background history. ~Doug
Hi Brad, I never seen that video - might be from right before I joined - nice to see Jon and Matt's bright shiny faces at the beginning of something HUGE. AR has exceeded their expectations, hasn't it?
Thanks for posting this Brad , Great Video.
Bill
Umm.... oops? No video here. Just code. But there were about 34,000 members when I joined. We've definitely come a long way. Can't wait to see the video... >.>
Brad - It's very interesting to see video from ActiveRain in its early days.
Brad, interesting nostalgia. We've come a long way!
Very cool video Brad. Wow.. 2007 and 36K members. Look at you now!
Brad,
Very enjoyable to see what Jon and Mat were creating in the early days. TX =)

Brad ~ I tried, just moved and speaker's aren't; hooked up and I pull up on my Palm. I will try back tomorrow.
Hi Brad, That was fun. Active Rain has sure grown and evolved since then. I'll bet they didn't even know they'd be adding some of the features that we take for granted just a couple of years later.
Very cool! I had not watched that ever before... We've come a long way baby!
This is the very first comment I have made and very first post I have read on Active Rain. How fitting eh! It is like joining a bunch of same sames. One could lose themselves inside a new family. Wow!!! PS: I changed offices to my home basement now- I love the switch! I see my kids more often and I realize how dead beat I am/was if I don't stop to take 'unofficial' time with them, so as they know I love them. Really, I did before, it is just different and bettter. Active Rain, here I come community!
Thanks for the video Brad.. Don't think I have ever seen this one before.
I don't believe I have ever seen that before. Isn't it amazing how much ActiveRain has grown? I gotta watch that again,
Fun to see and a blast from the past for sure.
Brad although I've only been around a year and a half, this video is just as valid and informative as it was when produced. Great explanation do what this place is really all about! I am going to send the link to every agent and broker in my office to help them understand what I've been talking about when urging them to JOIN!!
Brad, thank you for posting the video. It is exciting to see how AR has grown over the short few years and what a wonderful platform it has become.
I think I may do this. I'm excited....
Brad that was really an excellent video. This is a great summary when trying to explain some of the benefits the platform brings.
Fantastic Brad!! Thanks to Matt and Jon for the foresight they had. Love the video and the history. Wow from 36,000 to well over 175k! Pretty amazing when you stop to think about it... But when somethings good it explodes! Way to go Active Rain...
Brad, I'm a recent enrollee and appreciate the history. Over the past two months I see some great benefits to being here to both increase my knowledge of the industry and to make new contacts with both agents and clients. Thanks.
I'm a relative newbie joining Jan 2009, so this was interesting. I would've signed up sooner if I'd have heard about AR sooner - I signed up the day I heard about it in a C21 meeting at my office.
Very nice little summary !
... quick question, was that a half-caf-one-pump-classic-mocha-latte that Matt was clinging to in his interview !! lol ... coffee is essential !
Great video guys !
Great blast from the past... glad I joined!
Those were the days my friend...we thought they'd never end...and guess what? They haven't. As you know, I'm a newer member of the tribe. One day I'll be saying "I remember when there were only 175,000 folks on Active Rain...
Wow, what a lot of fun to watch. Perhaps a sequel on how far the platform has come, morphed, etc.
Funny at this point in time the video seems so now, and yet so from another age. Nice clip, neat to hear the original intent from the creators. Thanks for posting.
There were around 80,000 members when I started. Seems the growth has really picked up steam. Loved getting to see this.
Hi Brad. I love Active Rain though I was not here during the early days. I really like that it is Seattle based. Well I noticed that Toby Barnett's last post at Active Rain was in November 2009 and Ardel DellaLoggia last posted in 12/2009.
Brad - Ahhh the good old days... I remember about 15,000 members when we first started as well... Seems like yesterday... Good to see this again... thanks
Brad, Thanks for the video. It's nice to see where we started and I'm anxious to see where it goes from here!
Brad: I can't believe it!---I thought this thing had been around for a century when i joined---it was like some scary, big, well established web site that I was so intimidated by!!! I was so nervous when I joined and started to blog...I could just see me failing terribly at the writing thing!...NOW I FIND OUT THAT YOU GUYS WERE ONLY A FEW MONTHS OLD WHEN I JOINED---WHAT A BLUFF. I TOTALLY GOT TAKEN IN....:) (There were like 75,000 members when I joined in late 2007!!)
Brad, hadn't seen that before. I'm so happy I was introduced to AR.
I remember finding and seeing this video a few years back, and after watching it, I only dreamed that I'd get to work for and with a great site like this one day!! :-O
Lana - just goes to show that blogging can build business, they're probably out harvesting the crops from all the seeds and watering they've done here in the rain. Busy selling Real Estate is typically the goal of every Real Estate agent here on AR, at least that's what I'm thinking...
Paula- no bluffs, regardless, glad you joined and "got taken in" to the "rain" puddle here! :-))
Brad-Loved watching the video. So far in such a short time! Pretty soon AR will be crossing the 200,000 member mark!
Brad - thanks for this original video, in the beginning it said 36,000 members - my how we have grown!
