The ActiveRain Stuff You Won't Find Anywhere Else on the Web

1000 Posts In One - It's A FeedFuze

Taking RSS Feed and Syndication to the next level, I think this one is pretty self explanatory.
Here's another ActiveBrad tool and concept to enhance the mktg. senses and stir the creative juices.

Here's an RSS sample of some "Top Point Scorers" on AR, "fuzed" from 20 of our Industry Categories.

This really represents RSS well, Really Simple Syndication, and NOT Really Stupid Stuff. :-))

What will you come up with next?  I am not saying I will be successful at this but I am going in to try.....I am sure you have given me just enough rope to hang myself......

Hey Sally, they're really easy to setup too.  Check out feedfuze.com if interested.  :-)

I think that some of these add ons are neat looking but not as user friendly......I like a more clean and simple page......

I think that when a page looks so much different from the others that more people will just shy away from it a little due to the scariness of new things......

Just a thought.......could be so wrong to...usally am......lol.......

Posted by Maria Morton, Kansas City Real Estate 816-560-3758 (Platinum Realty) over 11 years ago

Chris - thanks, it's just a newer and different way of using the RSS feed readers that you see on the sides of many members Blogs.  This one allows you to pull feeds from multiple sites, and then eliminate any specific articles you don't want to show up on there.

The other RSS readers can't do that.  These were just a couple samples I put together for this post.  :-)

Frances - if you need a class, you got it.  But first, just go the site and check it out, you might find it's easier than you think.  It's RSS which stands for Really Super Simple!  :-))

Pretty Cool Brad.  I am going to check it out.  I love tools that help my productivity.  I love my feedreader too, I just need to be in it more often....time, time, time.  Email, I think it's a very outdated mode of communication and in many cases is ineffective for me as a first point entry level contact, better as a confirmation point.

Anyway, sorry ,I digress and am sleepy.  Thank you.

Hey Todd - this is not an add-on, it's a feed reader and syndication tool.  You should research it a bit, it might change the way you think about RSS feeds and the business they can generate you.  This is not just a fun toy or widget, it's something many are using in their 2009 business plans to provide content to their regular readers and new traffic.

PS. This is also not a new thing, RSS has been around for a while now.  Don't be afraid of new things either, don't let new things create a fear in you. :-)

Posted by Brad Andersohn, ActiveBrad - 707.646.1876 (Executive Director of Education at eXp Realty) over 11 years ago

Brad when I met with Steve from Google, he told me I can now RSS feed my Google Alerts. That was exciting as my inbox gets so full of Google Alerts. I will check this out too.

Missy - I hadn't thought of that, what a great idea.  I'll go set that one up right now.  I get a ton of Google Alerts on many different keywords and phrases.  I also use Google Reader so an RSS feed may be a great solution and management tool.  I'll also add it to my Feedfuze account now.  Thanks for the tip.  :-)

WOW - didn't realize I had this many comments, it's been tough without the email notifications, or comments showing up on the my home page.  We are working 24/7 to get all these issues corrected.  I'll be back after I unload my email in box.

FYI - Feedfuze is really simple to join, setup and use.  Just go to their site and see.  I wanted to post this to see what kind of response I'd get before I went into the details of how to create a feedfuze, and put it in a container like the ones displayed in this post.  Looks like there is some interest, so I may do a more detailed post on the "How-To" shortly.  Thanks for all the comments, and for your patience getting into this post.  :-)

Posted by Brad Andersohn, ActiveBrad - 707.646.1876 (Executive Director of Education at eXp Realty) over 11 years ago

I've added a few feedfuzes (my personal secrets and favs) to the top container in this post, for those of you who catch this comment, you'll see where I learn and get a lot of this type of stuff.  I'm really no genius at this, I just read a lot of Blogs and sites using google reader and my new feedfuze reader.  There is so much great information in these Blogs, marketing, SEO, tips, tools, new technology etc.  You can set these up to bring the information and news you're looking for right into your computer and up on your screen.  I rarely have to go hunt for new information or news regarding anything I want to know about.  Secret: You must be able to read hundreds of posts at a glance per day, hence my title here...

1000 posts in one. :-)
